Private Call w/ Brad Wilcox and Communio
Noted author and sociologist Brad Wilcox joined Communio supporters for a private conference call on February 7 to preview top line research from his upcoming new book:
Brad is a professor of sociology at the University of Virginia and director of the National Marriage Project. His research has been featured in many national and international publications.
During our conversation, we discussed the latest data that reveals that married men and women are the happiest men and women in America. We also tackled some of his other findings:
- Married men and women with families report more meaningful lives than their single and childless peers.
- Couples with a more open approach to married life—i.e., sharing joint checking accounts—are happier and less divorce-prone than couples who do not.
- Couples who forge marriages where family is prioritized enjoy the happiest marriages.
