Did you know that eggs are associated with Easter because they are a symbol of the resurrection and new life we receive when we become followers of Christ? The shell represents the tomb, while cracking the egg is symbolic of Christ rising from the dead! These two egg-themed snacks can get you and your kids connecting and having fun in the kitchen. It’s sure to be egg-celent fun!
Deviled eggs are an Easter lunch staple. Try amping up the fun by making them look like chicks! Eggland’s Best shares the recipe for this twist on a classic.
You don’t even need to turn on the oven for this fun Easter treat! Use robin’s egg candies to make cute and tasty bird nests. Sugar, Spice, and Glitter shares this cute no-bake snack!

Get Cooking!
Have everyone get in on the kitchen fun! Take turns measuring, pouring, and stirring. While working together, talk through these fun discussion questions to learn more about each other and what each person feels is most meaningful about Easter.
Keep the fun going!
When your fun snacks are complete, take a moment to try some of these fun Easter games. Winning doesn’t matter, just have fun together!
Truth or Challenge Eggs
For this spin on classic egg hunting, print out this list of Truths and Challenges to put inside easter eggs! This page is filled with silly challenges and family-affirming truths. Cut each apart and place inside plastic eggs. You can also include a treat in each! Hide and hunt as normal. For this twist, though, each time your child finds an egg, they have to open it and complete the truth or challenge to move on! Encourage the kids to switch up to whom they say their compliment or affirming truth each time!
Peeps Jousting Tournament
For this silly but fun activity, you’ll need Peep chicks candies, toothpicks, and a microwave. Have two family members go at a time by each placing a Peep on a plate facing the other. Place a toothpick in the front of each Peep as if he’s holding a jousting lance, but don’t let them touch! Put them in the microwave for 15-30 seconds and as they swell, see which one “jousts” the other first by touching them with the toothpick! You can also have chocolate and graham crackers handy for S’mores with fallen “jousters!”
Ready, Aim, Sugar!
Have extra Peeps? Or just want to have some fun with them? Try this exciting activity. Open, pull apart, and line up your bunny or chick Peeps on the edge of a counter or table. Take turns shooting rubber bands at them to see who can knock the most off. Make it even more fun by “calling your shot,” practicing one-handed shooting, or splitting into teams and trying to topple each other’s Peeps! This could also be a great time to utilize the Nerf arsenal you may already have at home!
